The HYDRANT is our flagship server and features twin high speed 2TB drives in a chassis that offers “Hot Swap” capability. This means the 2TB usable storage is protected by redundant hard drives (Mirror) so loss of content is highly unlikely over the life of the server. And even if a hard drive fails, replacement is as quick and easy as pushing a button.

Since the HYDRANT has plenty of on board storage for recorded HDTV, or for large collections of 1080p movies, it is the perfect solution for those who want a stand alone server. But, in the event your media collections grow beyond your expectations, the HYDRANT is fully compatible with our RESERVOIR SERIES of storage devices for almost limitless storage capacity.

Fluid Digital is a direct with Microsoft OEM and is among the select few companies authorized to manufacture Digital Cable media servers. With CableCARD support, Fluid Digital media servers are capable of receiving premium HD digital cable content, allowing you to watch and record your favorite TV shows and movies.

The HYDRANT comes with (2) 2 TB hard disk drives. That equates to as much as 700 hours of high definition video storage.

Unlike your current DVR, the Sprinkler allows you to record to one central location but distribute video to any other TV in the house over standard CAT 5 cable to Microsoft certified media extenders.
