As a stand alone server the SPRINKLER is perfect for those users who stream video from IPTV or NetFlix, and whose primary storage needs are for music and photos.

The SPRINKLER is best used in multiples (up to 8) with our RESERVOIR SERIES Storage devices. Since a RESERVOIR SERIES storage device has sufficient throughput to deliver up to eight 1080p video streams simultaneously, it can be used to store all your media. Music, photos, recorded HDTV, 1080p movie collections, and documents can all be stored in one location and accessed by up to eight different servers at the same time. The RESERVOIR SERIES devices also use Mirror redundancy or RAID 5 configuration (depending on model) to insure your data is always backed up and safe. This eliminates the need for large hard drives in a server. That makes the efficiency of the SPRINKLER a cost effective solution for multiple server installations, and a perfect solution for anyone who wants to distribute 1080p movies throughout their home from a single source.

With CableCARD support, Fluid Digital media servers are capable of receiving premium HD digital cable content, allowing you to watch and record your favorite TV shows and movies.
